New Suffolk Stand Gets 1st Outing at NSA Welsh Sheep

The Suffolk Sheep Society had a strong presence at the NSA Welsh Sheep event on Wednesday 18th May in Powys Wales.  Our new stand which is forest green and black in colour won 2nd prize of all the trade stands present.  This investment in breed promotion was long overdue as our old stand had become dated and was no longer fit for purpose.  Numerous visitors tried their hand at the guess the weight competition with only two entries correct out of the 100 attempts.  Thanks to J Straker Chadwick and Son for their £100 voucher as a prize.  Although the weather was unkind in the morning the sun came out for a dry afternoon.  Congratulations to all the efforts of the NSA organising committee, host farmers The Jones family and the Suffolk members that helped man the stand.
