"A SHEPHERD AND HIS FLOCK: 50 Years With Suffolk Sheep"

By Suffolk Sheep Society 4th April, 2017

For only £4.99 (plus £1.50 postage) you can own a unique and humorous piece of the social history of the Suffolk Breed from Ken Riggall MBE. Mr Riggall is now retired but managed the Badlingham (originally the Yeldham) flock for many years for the late Mr R L Broad on the Suffolk/Cambridge border and subsequently for Mr Robert Long at Hall Farm, Fornham St Martin.
As a child, he went round with a shepherd in his pony and trap; then, after wartime service in the navy, he moved to East Anglia and began a career that brought countless show prizes for the sheep and for himself an MBE from the Queen. He tells his story with simplicity and humour.
