Staff Changes

By Suffolk Sheep Society 29th February, 2016

The Suffolk Sheep Society would like to inform its members that their Chief Executive, Dr Lewis McClinton, will be vacating his post by September 2016.  Due to changing family circumstance, namely an accident to his wife and his son’s student placement, Lewis had requested either a career break or part time hours over a twelve month period.  In the advent that this was not possible then he would have to step down.  The matter was discussed at our February meeting and Council felt that the Society needed a full time Chief Executive to fulfil a busy work schedule.

Lewis has kindly offered to work an eight month period rather than the three months that is contractually required to facilitate the Society in its recruitment process.  We would like to wish Lewis well and thank him for his efforts over the last eight years. The Society is certainly in a much stronger place than he found it, which was borne out by the end of year accounts that were presented at our AGM.
