NADIS publishes a monthly Parasite Forecast for farmers and livestock keepers, based on detailed Met office data. The Parasite Forecast outlines the parasitic challenge facing cattle and sheep in the different regions of the UK. Again this month the main focus is on Nematodirus infection, the risk of which is expected to be very high this June with cases of Nematodirosis probably even running into July. Also covered are PGE and liver fluke in cattle and sheep, cattle lungworm (husk) and myaisis (blowfly) in sheep.
