The Western Area Branch Welsh National Suffolk Show 2026 will take place on Saturday 9th May 2026 at the Monmouthshire Livestock Centre in Raglan.
The event is held by kind permission of J Straker Chadwick & Sons and entries are welcomed from fully paid-up members of the Suffolk Sheep Society.
This year we are welcoming Mr John Gibb, Cairnton Flock as our judge.
Entry Information
Entries are open to all fully paid-up members of the Suffolk Sheep Society.
Entry Fee:
£10 per exhibit
The entry fee will be refunded if exhibitors arrive with their sheep on the day of the show.

Show Day Schedule
Exhibitors are requested to arrive no later than 9:30am to allow time for unloading and preparing livestock.
Judging Schedule
- 10:00am – Young Handler Classes
- 10:30am – General Classes
Young handler classes will begin the day, followed by the main show classes.
Animal Health & DEFRA Regulations
All exhibitors must comply with current DEFRA regulations for One Day Shows, including requirements related to animal health and biosecurity.
Exhibitors must ensure:
- All sheep are MVA accredited
- A completed movement licence is brought on the day
- A completed MVA form is provided
- All documents are handed to the Secretary upon arrival
Vendor Information
Vendors attending the show should note the following requirements:
- Vendors must supply their own straw for pens
- Access to the livestock auction area is available on Friday evening from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.
Please notify the secretary in advance if you intend to arrive during this time.
Class Entry Requirements
Each class must have a minimum of three entries for the class to proceed.
If fewer entries are received, the class may be cancelled or merged.
