The recent surge in interest for Pedigree Suffolk Sheep reached new heights at the Western Wonders Show & Sale organised by Abergavenny Auctioneers, J. Straker, Chadwick & Sons, in conjunction with Monmouthshire Livestock Centre.

A reduced entry in 2025, in line with other sales across the country saw 86 sheep forward, 85 sold, an incredible average overall of £1,584.26.

A packed Salering with numerous new buyers, as well as established breeders witnessed a fierce trade from the first lot to the final lot – and many bidders going home empty handed, highlighting once again the reputation of this long established sale and its numerous regular consignors.
