The inaugural show of the Western Area Branch of the Suffolk Sheep Society was held at Raglan Livestock Market on Saturday. The show incorporated the Welsh National Show and proved a huge success giving us sound building blocks to go forward again in 2026.
The show attracted 20 exhibitors with 91 sheep entered. The show was judged by Alastair Gault Forkins Flock who placed Myfyr Evans Rhaeadr flock overall champion with a yearling ewe A12:24:02775, Myfyr also took the Welsh National Female title. Male honours went Arnie Oare Groes with an aged Ram LVL:23:00923, this ram also took the Welsh National Male title. The ram lamb class was won by Phil Poole of Salopian , Aged Ewe and Ewe lamb Keira & Lucy Greaney Claddagh, Yearling Ram Arnie Oare Groes, Group J Pryce Horton, New Breeders ram lamb C J & E A Harris Treforain and New Breeders ewe lamb Keira & Lucy Greaney Claddagh.
