Sad News - Passing of past Member, Breeder, shepherd and judge, John Hepburn.

By Suffolk Sheep Society 16th September, 2015

Passing of past Member, Breeder, shepherd and judge, John Hepburn.

It is with deep regret that the Society has been informed of the passing of past Member, Breeder, shepherd and judge, John Hepburn on 16th September 2015.

John will be remembered with fondness by in particular, the Northern, Borders and Scottish Members of the Suffolk Sheep Society.

A quiet service at the Borders Crematorium, Melrose TD6 9HA at 3.00pm on Friday 9th October, and will be followed on Friday 16th October with an informal, relaxed lunchtime gathering of John’s farming friends and colleagues to ‘raise a glass’ and celebrate his life – to be held at the Border Union Agricultural Society Showground, Kelso TD5 8LS, by very kind permission. 12.30pm. – approx.4.00pm.

No flowers please.

Instead, any donations would be most gratefully received and divided between three important charities –, Dyslexia in Farming (via Dyslexia Scotland), Alzheimer’s Research and, that nearest to John’s heart, the “Moredun Foundation” Research Institute at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh.

Details - via Funeral Directors, Kyle Bros. Kelso Roxburghshire TD5 8AY (01573 224 660)

Or from Caroline, John’s partner,

caroline.nelson4@btinternet.com  (01573 450733/ 07968 599840) who has been overwhelmed by the kindness of Members and friends at this sad time.
