Parasite Forecast

NADIS publishes a monthly Parasite Forecast for farmers and livestock keepers, based on detailed Met Office data. The Parasite Forecast outlines the parasitic challenge facing cattle and sheep in the different UK regions. This month’s webinar focuses on the Fluke Forecast for cattle and sheep, roundworms in store lambs and cattle and external parasites of sheep.

Disease Alert
Image above : Cryptosporidiosis
Cryptosporidiosis is an increasingly common cause of scour in calves, and is more likely to become apparent as infection pressure increases over the winter months, but controlling an outbreak can be tricky. At this time of year, dystocia is also one of the most common health problems affecting sheep. In this month’s webinar, James Aitken, of Orchard Veterinary Group explains the key points in how best to manage these conditions.

If you would like to use any of the NADIS A-Z animal health material on the NADIS website www.nadis.org.ukplease do so.

NADIS hopes you find this webinar service useful and would welcome your comments.
