Eurotier 2014

By Suffolk Sheep Society 11th November, 2014

Report, pictures and export opportunities from Eurotier

Eurotier     11-14 November 2014

This is one of the largest agricultural events in Europe and was attended by 156,000 thousand visitors over the four days.

The Society stand included two Suffolk ewe lambs which came from RB & GM Morgan, Llangeview Flock.  These animals had been sold to Dr R Ruther, a German buyer in advance of the event. The sale and haulage was coordinated by Mike Adams.  The United Kingdom stand was organised by the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, Eblex and British Livestock Genetics. Leaflets had been translated into several European languages and translators were on hand to deal with customers that could not speak English. There was constant interest in Suffolk genetics as various strains of Suffolk are to be found across Europe and the world. During the event all queries were recorded and will be placed on the Society website so that all members that can export have a point of reference to commence their marketing.
